Agfa launched Sublima, a hybrid screening solution for platemaking machines for all commercial printing applications. Sublima is an advanced screening technology that combines two proven screening techniques, Agfa Balanced Screening (ABS) and FM screening (FM), to achieve full-tone reproduction on the press.
Sublima technology optimizes Agfa's visible light Galileo (green and violet), Palladio (violet), Xcalibur 45, and VLF thermal platesetters. With Sublima screening technology, printers can achieve better output quality without changing any of the press's parameters. Sublima also allows printing companies to continue using the current Apogee workflow to produce the best quality results for each job. Depending on the device, this technology can deliver from 210 lpi to 340 lpi.
Guido Maes is a printing plant in Gent, Belgium, and is also a Beta test point for Sublima technology.
