Hunan University Students won the World Award for Medicine Packaging Design

[China Packaging Network News] Recently, two graduate students from the School of Packaging Design at Hunan University of Technology have innovatively designed "a bottle of medicine for children's safety" and won the 2017 "World Student Star" packaging award. On the afternoon of the 7th, the reporter interviewed the designer Luo Shuyong.

In early 2017, Luo Shuyong saw a report on the status of children's drug safety on the Internet. According to the report, 2 out of every 5 poisoned children have drug poisoning. Luo Shuyong found out that on the market, the general bottles used are ordinary bottle caps, and most of them can be easily opened. “I want to find a solution to this problem.” In the next year or so, Luo Shuyong and his partner Wei Xueqi began to sketch, cut, and experiment. Finally, the opening structure of the medicine bottle is designed as a button type.

At the end of last year, Luo Shuyong and Wei Xueqi's design participated in the China Packaging Design Contest, winning the first prize and representing China in the “World Student Star” packaging design award. At present, this idea has applied for and granted a utility model patent.
