Abstract: The present invention provides a printing device, which includes a printer data input interface, a printer interface protocol module, a port arbitration module, an SDRAM interface, an SDRAM, a general-purpose processor, a printing device core interface, and a printer core. The printing device also includes a device that monitors the end-of-page character string of the print data before the print data stream is stored in the SDRAM to provide a page count for the memory management module. Also included is a memory control module for memory management of the SDRAM and a command interpretation and data decompression module that restores the rasterized print data stream processing within the page into printable rasterized data. After the general processor completes the analysis of the print job's header file and page header file and sets the printer's movement, the command interpretation and data decompression module gains read control of the SDRAM and reads the data stream containing the compressed instructions and the compressed data. The compression code is restored according to the compression instruction, and the restored raster data stream is output by the printer core interface module.
