Bayer launches thin film insert molding technology

At the China Non-spraying Technology and Applications Symposium held in Shanghai from November 29th to 30th, Bayer Polycarbonate Co., Ltd. has launched innovative MKF and Bayer hybrid film insert molding technology. It is said that this is a major breakthrough in plastic molding technology.

According to reports, Mukfu and Baifu are capable of rapid prototyping and are less deformable than polyester. Compared with other materials, this kind of film deep drawing is more simple, firm and stable. The reduction of the internal stress of the film makes the pattern printing more accurate, the pattern is bright, and the surface glossiness is maintained. The high mechanical strength of the polycarbonate allows the user to obtain a thinner film, which can be used in many fields including automobiles, information, and medical care. In addition to having different textures and thicknesses, the film also has excellent features such as molding, chemical resistance, and light diffusion, and can improve UV resistance. This technology has begun to be used in information, automotive and other industries. Bayer wants to work closely with parts developers and processors, mold designers and film suppliers to develop new projects. (Zhang Xiufeng)
