Application of special printing technology for screen printing

5. Paint foam printing

An aqueous solution containing a thickener (0.1 to 5% by weight), a binder (1 to 10% by weight), and a surfactant (l to 5% by weight) is insoluble The mixture is stirred in the presence of inert gas in water to form a foam which is 1.5 to 3 times the volume of the original aqueous solution, and then mixed with the paint to prepare a foam printing paste. Fabric printing with this foam printing paste is called foam printing.

1 foam printing features.

a. The density of the foam does not exceed 0 7 g/ml; the viscosity is in the range of 20 to 200 centipoise.
b. The printed fabric is bright in color and soft to the touch.
c. Printing paste stability is good.
d. Especially suitable for rotary screen printing.

2 foam printing example.

a. Printing paste composition:

Thickener (polyacrylic acid) 0.5%
Adhesive (emulsion copolymer of acrylate, acrylonitrile and hydroxymethyl methacrylate) 4.0%
Sodium alginate 0.2%
Sodium lauryl sulfate l.0%
Twelve (alkyl) alcohol 1.0%
Ammonia 0.5%

The adjuster, binder, sodium alginate, and water were mixed with each other, and then aqueous ammonia was added to produce a uniform, foam-free solution. Next, sodium lauryl sulfate and dodecyl (alk) were added and the stirring was continued to form a foam. The specific product is 2 times the original solution, and the concentration and viscosity are within the specified range. This foam was then mixed with the suspension of Aquarine Blue 3GW to make a print paste.

b. Foam printing: Using this printing paste, it is printed on a cotton cloth through a rotary screen, dried, and heat-treated at 150°C for 3 minutes. As a result, the printed blue print fabric has a bright color, a soft hand, and is significantly resistant to washing and dry cleaning.

6. Discoloration printing.

Some substances are subject to changes in the environment, especially color changes. Discoloration printing is the addition of special chemicals in the printed material, so that the color of the printed pattern changes with changes in light intensity, temperature, and humidity. Different chemicals have different conditions for discoloration, so people can design many different types of discoloration printing.

Discolored printing has both its practical value and its artistic value. So continue to get application development.

7. Scent printing.

When the fabric printing material is provided with a fragrance, a scent is generated on the fabric. However, as the fragrance is volatilized, the fragrance on the fabric disappears quickly. In order to prolong the fragrance retention time of the fabric, the printed material is also formulated with a special resin to match the fragrance, so that the fragrance can be stored in the resin particles (capsules) and the fragrance release is slow. Another is the use of blended flavors, on the one hand to achieve the desired flavor, on the other hand can also be appropriate to slow down the disappearance of flavor.

The scent printing not only gives people a visually beautiful enjoyment, but also has an olfactory satisfaction. Therefore, the fragrance printing is widely used in many fabrics such as clothes, sheets, handkerchiefs, scarves, socks, and the like.

8. Diamond prints and pearl prints.

Diamond prints and pearl prints give the fabric a special light reflection and a special gloss effect.

The diamond printing paste has a micro-shaped reflector body. This micro-shaped reflector has a strong light to reflect, resulting in the effect of diamond light. In order to make a special micro-reflector firmly attached to the fabric, a protective agent, a binder and other additives are also included in the slurry.

Pearlescent printing paste is equipped with special inorganic crystals. This kind of crystal has multi-faceted reflection properties, which can form a very uniform and strong diffusion, so that the printed pattern produces pearl-like luster.
