Solution: 1. When the single or fast veneer is fed into the dryer longitudinally, the front and rear plate edges should overlap by 1-2 cm, so that the evaporation speed of the single edge can be reduced, and the central portion is close to the same. Prevent deformation and cracking.
2. When the strip is continuously dried on one side, water can be sprayed on the width of 6 mm on both sides of the single side to increase the moisture content of the edge of the veneer to delay the drying speed of the edge and reduce wave deformation and cracking.
3. When the strip-shaped veneer is continuously dried, a reinforcing tape or a glue line may be attached on both sides of the wet veneer to increase the strength in the direction of the horizontal stripes and prevent the end plate from being cracked.
(2) Uneven water content of veneers
When the tree species, thickness and storage time of the veneer are the same, the final water content of the veneer is inconsistent after drying, which is often caused by the difference in the initial water content and the drying speed of the veneer and the sapwood. Differences in temperature, humidity, and wind speed at different locations and in different layers in the dryer may also cause unevenness in the final moisture content of the veneer after drying.
The solution method is as follows: 1. The tree species with different water content of the heart and the sapwood (such as pine), the spin-cut veneers are dried separately according to the heart and the sapwood.
