Krones of Germany has successfully developed a high-quality PET bottle recycling system. Its annual processing volume can reach 15,000 tons of PET beverage bottles. The processed PET material can be directly used to make other PET containers, which is beneficial for reducing production costs and environmental protection. The Krones PET bottle recycling system uses chemical coating removal technology. The uniqueness of URRC's waste recycling technology removes the surface of PET bottles with caustic soda as a chemical coating remover, so that contaminants adhering to them can be removed, and thus recycling of any kind of PET bottle can be handled. This technology can widely handle non-recycled bottles, reusable bottles that are no longer used, and beverage bottle types that fall somewhere in between.
The recycled products processed by URRC technology can not only be mixed directly to make preforms, but also have low acetaldehyde and yellow pigment content in recycled products, and can meet the requirements of purity and quality, especially for the food and beverage industry. The use of the Krones recycling process to produce PET bottles costs 20% to 30% less than fully utilizing new materials, which means that today's PET raw materials can also be recycled.
