Large capacity Ajax cleaner package

Although McDonald's has increasingly used large-volume products, the practice of household detergent companies seems to be the opposite. One example is olgate Palmolive, the maker of Ajax cleaners. Colgate-Palmolive chose Sonoco Products to produce a new 28-ounce large composite paper can for its best-selling home-use bleach cleaner. Large size Ajax is especially sold for club houses, one-dollar shops and food stores.

Ajax's cans are 2.5 inches in diameter and are spirally wound from a 213 x 812 two-layer 100% recycled composite board. The paper cans are lightweight and sturdy, can withstand the challenges of breakage during transportation and delivery, and can be neatly and securely stacked to maximize product display space and effectiveness. The cans stood about 9 inches tall, only 3 inches taller than the 14-ounce cans, but they contained 50% more. The 14-ounce canned Ajax offered by Sonoco is sold only in supermarkets.
The pattern of the can body is printed on the metal foil label with six-color gravure, and the words “Value Pack” are marked on the striking yellow banner. The metal foil also serves as a moisture-proof barrier, and the sealed metal end can be further protected against moisture. Shake the can body while using, and the proper amount of detergent will be poured out from the metal sieve at the top of the tank.
