Making a paper hat for yourself--DongYang Party Paper

Lace Birthday Crown 1.Measure and cut a piece of lace trim that fits around your head. You can play with the length to create larger or smaller crowns. 2.Cover your work area with newspaper. Using the sponge brush, cover the lace with the decoupage glue and let it dry. Cover with another layer of glue and let it dry thoroughly. 3.Add another layer of decoupage glue. Sprinkle the glue with glitter. Once it is dry, shake of the excess. 4.Overlap the ends of the lace and hot glue them together. This will form the crown. Holiday Hat 1.Print out the cone template. Using holiday patterned cardstock paper, trace and cut out the cone. 2.Fold the edge and hot glue the cone together. Make sure to leave a little hole at the top. 3.Using a pipe cleaners, create a topper for the cone. Some ideas for toppers are a star, heart, squiggles, triangle or even a snowman. Leave a couple inches of pipe cleaner at the bottom of the design so it can be attached to the cone. 4.Insert the tail of the topper into the hole at the top of the cone. Hot glue it in place. Punch two holes on opposite sides about 1/2 inch from the bottom edge of the hat. 5.Measure the elastic to fit your head so the hat fits securely. Cut the elastic and tie one end to each hole. Hot glue the holiday garland around the bottom edge of the cone. 6.Use puff paint to decorate with favorite holiday sayings or designs.
