Ten common printing methods and characteristics of fabric printing

Fabric printing refers to the process of forming patterns on the fabric by printing. The printing methods are: pattern printing, screen printing, roller-type rotary screen printing, transfer printing and multi-color shower printing. Among them, screen printing is derived from pattern printing (including pattern paper and zinc plate) From manual operation, it gradually moved toward semi-automation and complete automation, and later developed from a flat net to a round net.

There are several printing methods for fabric printing:

1. Direct printing of paint

Direct printing of paint is to print the prepared printing paste directly on the fabric, which is the simplest and most commonly used process in the printing process. The direct printing process of paint generally refers to printing on white or light-colored fabrics. It is easy to match colors and simple in process. After printing, it can be baked and processed. It is suitable for textiles of various fibers. The direct printing process of paints can be divided into Acramin F-type adhesives according to the currently commonly used adhesives. Three direct printing processes of acrylic adhesive, styrene-butadiene emulsion and chitin adhesive.

2. Silk printing

The main methods of silk printing are direct printing, discharge printing and anti-dye printing. The direct printing method has been introduced earlier. The discharge printing method, the transfer printing method, and the penetration printing method will be introduced separately in the relevant sections later. Here, the anti-dye printing method is mainly introduced.

3. Knitted underwear printing

The printing of knitted underwear mainly uses the direct printing process of paint. After printing, the fabric can be double-baked or naturally dried, which avoids the problems of easy deformation of the knitted fabric and difficult treatment of the agricultural sheet. The printing method is mainly flat screen printing, which is divided into manual scraping and machine operation. This printing method can adapt to the flower patterns of various forms and organizational structures, and is suitable for the production needs of small batches and multiple colors.

4. Discharge printing

Discharge printing is also called engraving. It refers to a printing method that uses a discharge agent to print on colored fabrics and destroys some dyes that have been dyed, thus obtaining various patterns and patterns. Discharge agent is a chemical that can decolorize the dye base. Hang Bai Jue, stannous chloride, etc. This method can be divided into two patterns: white (pulling white) and colored (pulling). The latter dyeing method makes the fabric pattern fine, but the process is complicated and the cost is high.

5. Silk screen burnout

The burnt-out system uses two kinds of fiber blended fabrics with different acid resistance. After the acid burnt pulp printing and chemical processing, the natural fiber parts that are not acid-resistant are rotten to expose the chemical fiber parts that are acid-resistant, forming a crystal transparent flower Type, its special style makes burnt-out products have a high-end gorgeous feeling. Burnt-out products are not only gorgeous in appearance, but also excellent in internal quality, with wear resistance, high strength, good washing, quick drying, no-iron performance, and are welcomed by domestic and foreign markets. The research and application of burnt-out technology has prevailed in the textile printing and dyeing industry in recent years.

6. Wool fabric printing

At present, printed wool fabrics are mainly thin plain weave fabrics or tulle fabrics, and most of them are used to make women's shirts, dresses, quilts and skirts. In addition to direct printing, wool fabric printing also has pull-out printing, anti-printing and transfer printing. Wool blend fabric printing also occupies a certain proportion. At present, the relief finishing of wool fabrics is also quite popular, mainly used for woolen sweaters.

7. Velvet printing

Diamond printing uses the characteristics of silk printing to print on velveteen, which can obtain a special flash effect, which can emit the light of natural diamond under the sunlight.

8. Foam printing

There are many varieties of special fabric printing, foam printing is one of them. The characteristics of foam printing are: strong three-dimensional feeling, similar to artificial embroidery, soft hand feeling, wear resistance, washing resistance, good fastness and elasticity, and can be widely used in tablecloths, curtains, tea towels, handkerchiefs, pillow towels, clothing, travel Souvenirs and other aspects. It can be applied not only on natural fiber fabrics such as cotton, hemp, silk, etc., but also on man-made fiber fabrics.

9. Flocking printing

Electrostatic flocking is a new technology emerging in the textile industry. It is a product that uses high voltage electrostatic field to plant short fibers on the grey cloth. Flocking products are simple in process, strong in three-dimensional sense, and low in cost. Therefore, they are widely used in rubber, plastic, artificial leather, and decorative products, especially for small batches of travel products, which show its incomparable advantages. The use of flocking patterns on shoes, hats, children's clothing, trademarks, and apparel will make it look unique.

10. Transfer printing

Transfer printing is a printing process that relies on the sublimation of dyes and the effect of dye vapor on the diffusion and affinity of fibers to complete the coloring effect. Transfer printing is a more practical printing and dyeing production method in anhydrous processing. In addition to not using water, there is also a main feature that the paper deformation is small, so you can print fine multi-level patterns and photography pictures. Transfer the pattern picture to the cloth. The effect is sometimes better than general anti-discharge printing.

In addition to the above ten common printing methods, there are some special printing methods, such as: anodized aluminum transfer printing, photoluminescence printing, fluorescent printing, gold and silver powder printing, coating foam printing, color changing printing, fragrance printing, diamond printing Pearl printing and so on, printing methods.
