Fluid bags also outperform other systems in terms of quality and post-processing. An empty fluid bag with a volume of 950 L has a mass of only 7 kg; whereas a drum with a capacity of 200 L has a tare weight of 111 kg, which increases the operating and transportation costs. In addition, the use of larger volumes of fluid bags can save the barrel non-productive time and increase production. At the same time, the system produces less waste. Rigid containers must be thoroughly treated after use, and the only waste generated from fluid bags is their liners. Transport bags, pallets and racks can be reused.
