The process proceeds fastest when the temperature is close to the melting point and the presence of liquid water. Afterwards, the predominant recrystallization effect increases the average particle size. When the density of the aggregate reaches about 0.84 g/cm 3 , there is no void between the particles and becomes impermeable. This marks the snow from the grain. To the conversion of glacial ice."
