After each day's testing, it is essential to perform regular inspections and maintenance on the equipment to ensure that the instrument remains in optimal working condition and extends its service life. Proper care of coal calorimeter instruments can prevent malfunctions and improve test accuracy. Below are common issues and maintenance procedures for key components:
1. Oxygen Bomb: In addition to cleaning and drying the oxygen bomb after every test, the following checks should be performed regularly:
(1) The oxygen bomb should only be tightened by hand. If resistance is felt, stop immediately and do not use tools. After daily tests, clean the oxygen bomb thoroughly.
(2) Rinse and dry the elastic cap and valve seat after each use to prevent residue buildup.
(3) Clean the inner cup, scrub the threads, and inspect for any mechanical damage. Avoid inverting the cup to prevent contamination or damage.
(4) Check the sealing ring for wear or damage during combustion. If air leakage is detected, replace the seal immediately.
(5) Inspect the insulation mat and sleeve for any signs of damage. Regularly check the insulation performance to ensure safety.
(6) Conduct a 20.00 MPa water pressure test on the oxygen bomb periodically. After each test, the bomb should not be used for more than one year or 5000 tests, whichever comes first.
2. Calorimeter Cylinder: After each test, drain the water from the inner cylinder into the outer cylinder and wipe it dry to maintain cleanliness and prevent corrosion.
3. Test Water: It is recommended to use distilled or deionized water and replace it regularly to ensure the reliability and success rate of the test results.
Note: To ensure proper system operation, all computer equipment must be properly grounded to avoid electrical interference and protect sensitive components. Regular maintenance not only improves performance but also enhances the longevity of the entire setup. Always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for specific procedures and safety precautions.
