LANSDOWNE
Showcasing a seamless blend of historical architecture with modern living, Frank Ponterio’s design for the Conservatory brings comfort and luxury to this expansive space. His design honors the historical architecture of Benjamin Marshall by combining existing elements with thoughtfully curated updates, including millwork, materials, and furnishings that are rich in detail. Ponterio drew inspiration from the natural surroundings and aimed to harmonize the interior with the exterior, creating a room that embodies the essence of casual elegance.
FOUR SEASONS RESIDENCE
Conceived as an urban retreat for a close friend, Frank Ponterio ensured that every aspect of the home mirrored the owner's eclectic tastes and interests. Bold artwork takes center stage throughout, including striking limited-edition prints of David Bowie by award-winning photographer Markus Klinko and modern abstracts by local artist Lonney White. Textured and graphic wallpaper adds to the home’s visual charm, with hand-painted "Ink Blots" paper by Porto Teleo stealing the spotlight in the guest room. Unexpected furniture pieces and details—key themes of this standout downtown Chicago residence—offer the owner easy access to the city’s finest dining and entertainment venues.
