New green aldehyde-free adhesive

At present, except that the building formwork in plywood is pressed with phenolic glue, other wood-based boards are made by using urea-formaldehyde rubber or melamine-modified urea-formaldehyde rubber, and are increasingly caused by the harm to human health caused by formaldehyde released from it. It is important to note that in accordance with the requirements of the new standard, if the existing artificial board products do not change the traditional glue, they will not meet the standard requirements. At present, some manufacturers use E1 grade environmental protection type urea-formaldehyde rubber to produce wood-based panels. Although the amount of formaldehyde released can meet the standard requirements, the physical properties of the board have decreased significantly, and such adhesives still have long-term slow release of formaldehyde (up to 10% (a few years), so it is only a transitional product, not an ideal environmental adhesive. In the production process of new green aldehyde-free adhesives, formaldehyde is not used as raw material, and the produced plates can be guaranteed to meet the requirements of “green building materials”.

The new green aldehyde-free adhesive is developed on the basis of an aqueous polymer binder. It has no pollution during the production process, no poison during use, low cost, long active period, moderate viscosity, preloading, and resistance There are many advantages such as good aging performance. The comprehensive use cost is basically the same as that of the E1 grade environment-friendly urea-formaldehyde rubber, but the physical properties of the board have been significantly improved. It not only satisfies the needs of “green building materials”, but also greatly enhances the grade of the products.

With the development of the domestic construction market and home improvement industry, the rapid development of the wood-based panel industry in China has been greatly promoted. It is predicted that within the next five years, China will only need 30 million m3 of man-made boards every year in the fields of architecture, furniture and decoration. It is expected that by 2010, the output of man-made boards will reach 35-45 million m3. The resulting annual demand for adhesives is around 10 million tons.

The production of new green aldehyde-free adhesives can be carried out on the existing equipment of adhesive manufacturers without the need for equipment modification, which provides favorable conditions for the industrial production of the adhesive.
