The 34th China Body Fair will once again take place in Fuzhou. The event is scheduled for May 6, 2015, at 10:35 AM. Meanwhile, the 2015 Sporting Goods Expo is set to run from May 8 to May 11 at the Fuzhou Strait International Convention and Exhibition Center. As one of the most significant and authoritative sporting events in the Asia-Pacific region, the expo has consistently drawn great attention from industry professionals. Even though the body expo hasn't officially started yet, many companies are already curious about where the next edition will be held.
Recently, it was revealed through a poster on the official website that the 2016 edition of the expo will also be hosted in Fuzhou, taking place from April 22 to April 25 at the same venue. This confirms Fuzhou's ongoing role as a key location for such major sporting events.
The Body Expo has previously been held in Fuzhou in 1994 and 1998. In 2015, it marked the third time the event returned to the city. Over the years, it has grown into the most influential comprehensive sports goods exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region. To ensure the success of this year’s event, Fuzhou invested nearly 700 million yuan to expand the Fuzhou Strait International Convention and Exhibition Center. After the upgrade, the exhibition area increased from 80,000 to 120,000 square meters. This expansion allowed more exhibitors to participate, with over 118 companies from Fujian setting up booths—marking a new record for the fair.
As the expo continues to grow, people are eager to see whether the next session will once again be held in Fuzhou. According to Xu Zhenguo, Director of the Fujian Provincial Sports Bureau, Fujian plays a crucial role in China’s sporting goods industry. It is both a birthplace and a hub for well-known brands. The industry contributes significantly to the local economy, especially as traditional manufacturing faces challenges due to economic shifts. The expo serves as an important platform for knowledge exchange, helping local businesses build strong brands and support small and medium enterprises in their growth. It aims to drive healthy and sustainable development within the sector.
