The International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) made its debut in Miami this year, marking a significant milestone for the event that has long been a staple in New York City. Held at the Miami Beach Convention Center on October 5th and 6th, the first-ever ICFF Miami brought together some of the world’s most innovative and luxurious furniture designers, showcasing their latest creations in an elegant setting along the vibrant shores of Miami Beach.
As regular attendees of the NYC edition, we were excited to experience the new chapter of ICFF in a city that's quickly becoming a hub for high-end design. From stunning lighting fixtures to exquisite textiles and custom furnishings, the fair featured hundreds of exhibitors presenting cutting-edge designs across residential, hospitality, commercial, and retail spaces.
This event was two years in the making, with the ICFF team partnering with *Luxe Interiors + Design* to promote the show and attract global attention. The atmosphere was electric, with industry professionals, designers, and enthusiasts gathering to explore the future of interior design.
Miami is rapidly establishing itself as a key player in the luxury design world, offering a fresh alternative to New York. In fact, the Maison & Objet Americas event also took place in the same convention center in 2015, paving the way for Miami's growing influence in the design community.
Despite initial concerns about Hurricane Matthew, the event went ahead successfully, with only a brief closure on the second day. Attendees were treated to a vibrant showcase of creativity, innovation, and style.
Looking ahead, the 2018 edition promises even more exhibitors and a smoother experience. Whether you're a designer, an enthusiast, or just curious about the latest in interior trends, ICFF Miami is a must-see event.
