Qualitative analysis method of spectrometer

Spectrometer is a commonly used optical instrument and is widely used in many industries. Qualitative analysis of spectroscopic instruments means that due to the different atomic structures of various elements, the spectrum of their own characteristics can be generated under the action of the light source. If a sample has a spectrum of several elements on the photographic plate after excitation, it is proved that the sample has several elements. This is the so-called qualitative qualitative analysis method. The following is a brief introduction to the qualitative analysis method of the spectrometer.

1. Comparative spectral analysis: This method is widely used, including standard sample comparison method and iron spectrum comparison method. The standard sample comparison method is generally applicable to single qualitative analysis and limited analysis. The ferrography comparison method can not only perform single measurement but also facilitate full analysis.

2. Spectral line wavelength measurement method: Spectral analysis instrument uses spectral line wavelength measurement method for qualitative analysis to first measure the wavelength of a certain spectral line, and then check the table to determine the existing elements. This method is rarely used in daily analysis. It is usually only used when compiling spectra or doing arbitration analysis.

In general, qualitative analysis of spectral analysis instruments can analyze more than 70 elements on the periodic table of elements, but due to the limitations of the instrument and light source conditions, some elements such as non-metal and halogen elements need to be determined under special conditions.

Specimens for qualitative analysis of spectroscopic instruments can be varied, so the methods used for spectral characterization are different. For easily conductive metal samples, the sample itself can be directly used as an electrode to analyze with direct current or alternating current source. Spark and laser micro-light source analysis can sometimes be used to prevent damage to the sample. For the organic matter, the chemical treatment is generally carried out first, and the solution is converted into a solution by the solution residue method. The sample can also be processed into a uniform powder by burning or ashing and placed in a carbon electrode hole by a direct current or an alternating current source.

Qualitative analysis of spectroscopic instruments is characterized by simple methods, high speed, low sample volume and the ability to analyze any form of sample. For most elements there is a relatively high sensitivity. Spectral qualitative analysis can analyze one or several specified elements in a sample, or it can fully analyze all possible elements in a sample. The approximate content of the sensitive lines in the sample is judged based on the strength of the sensitive lines. Spectral qualitative analysis can only give a rough range of the presence of elements in the sample, such as large, small, or trace amounts. To obtain the correct content of the element, quantitative analysis of the spectrum must be performed.
