1. Compact the book block. If the book block is not pressed tightly and the back glue is brushed, the back of the book will wrinkle due to compression deformation under the strong punching of the paper cutter presser during trimming. Therefore, after the book block is compacted and the back glue (such as PVA polyvinyl alcohol synthetic resin glue) is applied, the book back will absorb a certain amount of expansion and will cause the book spine to thicken and become false. The book machine is compacted, and then the machine is used to cover the cover, so that the spine is relatively tight, preventing the back wrinkles caused by the compression deformation.

2. The hair after gluing should be padded and cut so that the paper presser does not press against the spine, which prevents the spine from being compressed and wrinkled. Padded is to put a waste book on top of each stack of books, the width is about 8mm smaller than the size of the book to be cut. If the finished product specification of the book is 146mm × 208mm, the waste specification for the pad should be 138 × 208mm. When cutting the head or foot of the book, the pad should be aligned with the cutout of the entire stack of books. The book does not touch the spine, and the spine is not compressed when the paper presser falls down. After cutting, the back of the book can be flat and beautiful.
